He was hired to do waterproofing and back filling in Los Alamos. Dave did some work and asked for 80% payment and even though I disagreed with the 80% completion rate, I decided to pay him based on my General Contractors input. The day after getting paid, Dave Bobcat Services notified me that he signed a larger contract and he would be back after completion. Yet I never got a response from him.
Bottom line, he does a good work according to the General contractor and the architect, but he is highly dishonest and unethical. He has been reported to the CID and I am taking him to court. Meanwhile I hired a different contractor (double paying unfortunately) to finish Dave Bobcast Service work. What a shame!
I echo the review from Paul Lancaster. Dave makes endless empty promises and excuses and insists on money up front for “materials.” Then he shows up and does a bare minimum of work and leaves, even though there is plenty of time to do more. He’s been sued several times and has multiple judgments entered against him. Read the lawsuits and it’s the same story every time. We paid Dave last September and we’re still waiting. This is the contractor you run from as fast as you can.
On Aug. 30, 2022 Dave was hired to provide excavating services; move debris from surface of ground into, on-site 30yard / 40yard dumpsters as defined in his bid. Dave caused damages to marked water and sewer pipes resulting to leaks, loss of water pressure and reduced water pressure for tenants. Dave has not been back to finish the project or assist in repairs after being notified of damages he caused. He has not adhered to his own scheduling or scheduling agreements after multiple attempts. Dave continually requests more funds after starting the project and agreeing to complete the job. 80% of the project was paid up front, in good faith, expecting services to be rendered as defined in original bid as agreed upon. Dave has not offered to rectify, offer refunds, or provided any expediency after continued delays to the project. Dave continually requests more funding to repair damages or continue the project. We've asked for a refund, but Dave doesn't provide a resolution.
