I am a real estate developer in Southlake who made the mistake of paying Cody Braughton upfront, and he took the money and ran. His business names include "Braughton and Sons Custom Fencing" and "G R Welding and Fencing". I am in the process of serving him for a small claims court hearing in Tarrant County, followed by several legal actions and fraud investigations by credit card companies and payment processors. If you read all his reviews, especially on google, he does this a lot and I'm bringing the legal firepower against him to put a stop to his games. He's a renter who moves a lot, has addresses at 413 Pigeon Ct in Grandbury, 4901 Dax Dr in Ft Worth, and 6228 Kitty Dr in Ft Worth. He changes business names a lot, his business addresses are either rented garage-type spaces or a residence. These are not real businesses. He does some larger projects, but he steals the money from the smaller projects. He is *not* a registered business entity in the State of Texas.

I hired Cody in January 2018 to build a custom 12' x 6' gate. The experience has been a complete nightmare. He only showed up for a couple of hours each day. We had to take a third day off work and he still didn't finish. He set the post in my sprinkler line, then didn't set it deep enough. He was supposed to build the fence 6' tall and cut it down to 5.5'. He didn't put a wheel on it like he was supposed to. He used the frame as a saw horse and the boards are cut crooked and the gate frame all scratched up and rusting. He didn't weld the corners good and water pours out of it after it rains. The gate sits on the ground and can't be opened or closed unless we use a comealong and highlift jack to raise it up. He broke my fence and didn't fix it. He cussed us out (we have it recorded) when we canceled the final payment due to his lack of responsiveness. He used the money on a PENDING deposit and now publicly makes defamatory comments saying we stole money from him. BEWARE!!!
