Over 10 years of tutoring experience at all levels 2nd grade to college level!

My name is Jay and I have received a BS Chemistry, worked as a research chemist and received a Masters from Vanderbilt. I have been tutoring chemistry, biology, basic science and math at all levels from elementary math to calculus. I have been tutoring basic sciences and math for the last 10 years.

I have a background in education research and I have worked with both curriculum development and one on one teaching to help my students succeed in their course work. Each student is different and my style of teaching and lesson plan is tailored to each student's personality and learning preferences.

The rate is $45/hr depending on subject content. I am located in Astoria and generally tutor in coffee shops but I can travel for a nominal fee.

I will not take exams for you but I will help you pass them through practice of the material and practice exams!
