Island Driving School is a family owned and operated driving school. We'll provide you with a relaxed, pleasant and educational first time driving experience; that's our promise to you. We give special attention to first time learners, nervous drivers and seniors, who just might need a refresher lesson; teaching ages 16 & up.

All our instructors are PATIENT, mature professionals who have undergone extensive testing and training and are Licensed & Certified by the N.Y.S. Dept. of Motor Vehicles. Our cars utilize a dual braking system for safe learning. Here at Island Driving School, all our lessons are 'one on one'-instructor & student, which is more conducive to learning. (Some other schools may put 2 or 3 students in the same car at the same time.)

Our goal is to make you a safe, confident driver for the road ahead. Also, our rates are the lowest around. 2-OFFICE LOCATIONS: 1) We're located at 91 Guyon Ave--at the Oakwood Heights train station. By bus: the S-57 also stops at this train station - just steps from our door and 2) our 2nd location; just a few feet away from the corner or Clove Rd and Forest Ave--740 Delafield Ave(entrance on Clove)-the S-54 bus stops at our door and the S-48 and S-98 stops at the corner.
