These common, but unacceptable, behavior issues are best dealt with through an in-home behavior plan in which the dog is carefully taught a new framework for responding to daily events.

TruHartK9's training programs are individually constructed based on your dog's needs but require time and commitment on the part of the owner for successful implemenation. Contrary to what you may see on television, there are very few quick fixes in changing most problem behaviors! And if a Dog Trainer suggests an INSTANT FIX, it's likely a band-aid to the problem and often causes further behavioral issues in the future. During our unique training program owners are also counseled on appropriate management of the dog throughout the treatment program to ensure the absolute best and long term results.

We will come to you and your dog - saving your valuable time and providing you with more personal attention than a group class would allow. Also few Dog Trainers are experienced/equipped to safely manage and correct aggression issues. Please do your homework when selecting a trainer!! (puppy classes and group classes are a great option for socializing young puppies. But are NOT equipped for behavior modification training)

-In-home basic manners training for puppies and dogs of all ages
-Behavior modification (ranging from Potty training 101, Destructive chewing, Nuisance barking, Digging, Counter surfing, to more complicated behaviors including -Dog Aggression, Human Aggression and Fear Aggression)
-Counseling for owners of reactive or aggressive dogs
-Pre-adoption and pet selection assistance (especially useful when adding a new dog to a home with a resident dog, to ensure a proper introduction and greatly increase the probability of the two dogs co-existing without issues)
-Day training options and packages

All training results are guaranteed for the duration of your dogs life (as long as you remain the owner).
