Trimble Sketchup (previously Google Sketchup) Sketchup is a great FREE program that puts 3D design in the hands of everyone. What was once only possible with years of technical training in CAD, can now be learned in just a few lessons. Sketchup is great for kids too. We have taught all ages from 10 to 75. Sketchup stimulates the spacial-visual region of the brain and is great for creative types. Sketchup allows users to transfer a visual idea, into a 3D model, and eventually into reality using a 3D printer, CNC machine, or using traditional building techniques. Sketchup is a tool that has many applications. Users can create architecture, 3D worlds, 3D objects, 3D Art and more. Anything that can be imagined, can be created. Imagine drawing or doodling an idea on a piece of paper. Now imagine doodling with virtual geometric 3D shapes: cubes, cylinders, spheres, cones, domes, and countless custom shapes.
