My name is Kody D'Amours, and I have tutored all sorts of math for over 6 years. I am currently nearing the end of my PhD program in Mathematics education and a PhD in Pure Mathematics. I teach many mathematics courses online and at Arizona State University. Just online alone, I have over 2500 students and have taught 8 courses on Udemy.
My goal is to make math simple and easy - and believe it or not, it can be, if the teacher knows how to teach - and that's my area of study! I research every day how to improve communication to the student so that they can understand what they need to understand in order to succeed.
How I Tutor:
Generally, I try to meet whatever the students needs are, such as going through homework assignments with them, or preparing for an upcoming test. I always make sure that the student understands the material, and depending on the student, this might mean we briefly cover some topics and we may dive into others.
My Tutoring History:
I tutor every math class offered by any school (including Common Core, Pathways Precalculus, and any advanced math courses).
Courses:
I can tutor ANY math class. Don't just get anyone though that can "tutor any math class" - get someone who actually can "tutor any math class". I also teach personal finance (ie how to get out of debt), chemistry, physics, you name it - I tutored/taught it.
I CAN ALSO TUTOR HIGH SCHOOL (Common Core).
Location: Noble Library at ASU (I prefer public places for safety reasons).
Cost: Only $60/Hour - you can pay at the end of the session too! I take cash, check or paypal.
