I've been in the horseshoeing world my whole life, being the son of one of the best farriers in the world (a World Champion Farrier). I worked with my dad for as long as I could walk and have been on my own for about 5 years. I am a Certified Journeyman Farrier. I currently just relocated to Minnesota where I am starting a farrier business. I shoe hot and cold and I also shoe to the anatomy of the horse.
If two horses are shod the exact same, one of them is shod wrong. The number one reason you shoe a horse is when wear exceeds growth. If your horse doesn't need shoes I won't try and convince you that it does. I would prefer to trim every horse, but a lot of horses need shoes and I'm pretty good at doing whatever is best for the horse. I believe in craftsmanship and I am a servant to my trade.
