Introduction: Hello, my name is Rick Durbin. I have been in construction for 38 years. I have extensive experience in several fields. My family goes back for 3 generations in the construction industry.
My qualifications:
3 1/2 years as a union finish carpenter. Served an apprenticeship and made it to journeyman level before switching trades
26 years as a plumber. I worked for the same family-owned company for 16 of those years, until I went out on my own. I ran the entire service dept for the last 6 years I was there. I had my own plumbing company for 10 years, before making Colorado my home. I have done service, new construction and had sub-specialties in whole house repipes and evaporative cooling systems for the plastic injection molding industry.
During my time as a plumber, I also ran a custom woodworking shop for extra income. I ran it out of my home for 10 years until working two jobs became too much of a hardship. So I shut down my woodshop and concentrated on plumbing.
