That time of year when summer is coming to an end and pool closings are upon us. It's time to Schedule your closing, we close Inground & Above ground pools. We treat each pool as if it was our own. First thing we do when closing a pool is drain the pool water down to correct level. Then we start to break down the equipment. If you have a cartridge filter we clean the filter and also the cartridge. Next, I work on the pump and I take all the O-rings, PSI gauge, and drain caps and place them in the skimmer basket. We also will tap off any hoses, so no animals can get in there. We also Shrink wrap anything we can't bring in for the winter, so the winter elements won't get to them. For above ground pools we shrink wrap around the edge of the pool, so no wind can get underneath. ***Next, we run a string line across the pool with a small bucket filled with chlorine tablets, so the pool stays chlorinated threw the fall time and Spring time. Doing this will have the pool stay clear when it is time to open in the spring. Then we blow out all the lines and skimmer, we blow the lines out twice with antifreeze to ensure nothing will happen during the winter. Next, we put in the plugs and gizmos as we move along. We then add in the correct winter chemicals to the pool. Last we put the cover on correctly whether it is a safety cover, a Tarp cover with water bags, or an above ground cover with a bubble. Then we clean up as if we were never there.
