GUITAR & SONGWRITING- HOLIDAY SEASON SPECIALS!

About

I am offering guitar and songwriting lessons for students from beginner level up to advanced. My degrees from Rowan University are in both Writing Arts and Music Theory. I have 37 years of experience performing guitar and vocals, and over 25 years experience recording original music. I am offering lessons at the most affordable rates in South Jersey because it is my passion to pass along knowledge, skills, and practice techniques that I feel are the most innovative and effective not only in this area, but also throughout the country at any institution. I provide the most comprehensive education for those looking to create their own music, as I incorporate performance (guitar & vocal), composition (words & music), recording techniques, and the most effective study and practice techniques. While my primary instruments are both guitar and voice, I compose for all instruments and offer assistance in composition for every style of music. Following is a list of specific details regarding my policies and rates:

~$20 per half hour for guitar lessons. A half hour to an hour per week is recommended for beginner guitar.
(Minimal charges for travel may apply)

~$30 per hour for guitar and/or songwriting lessons. An hour per week is recommended for songwriting
due to the more comprehensive nature of the lesson. (Minimal charges for travel may apply)

~All lessons are personalized to help each individual student achieve his or her goals as an artist.

~I offer opportunities to record and perform all of your ideas.

~While weekly lessons at a set time are recommended, I offer flexible scheduling to accommodate you.

~I offer per lesson payment, with discounts for students who pay monthly at the beginning of the month.

~I provide lessons at your location with no extra charge for anyone within a 10 mile radius of my Sewell
home. Charges will be very minimal for any further distances. I do offer lessons at my home studio in
Sewell as well, directly across from Rowan at GCC.

~I offer lessons 7 days a week-- mornings, afternoon, and night.

~It is recommended that you own a guitar for guitar lessons, but if composition and voice is your focus,
I offer lessons that are writing intensive and don't necessarily require an instrument.

~For beginners, if necessary, I offer assistance in choosing your guitar, along with all aspects of upkeep.

~Non-mandatory reading, writing, and listening exercises will be provided to enhance cognition, creativity,
and critical thinking. I will evaluate and provide feedback on all written exercises on my own time for no
additional charge.

~I am not a clock-watcher, nor are my methods robotic, which is what you will find in almost
EVERY local music school and institution due to the format. I cater to the individual learning style and
goals of each particular student and will never overload my schedule to the point where your lesson will
be rushed.

~ALL profits made on lessons will be invested into the re-establishment of original music in the South
Jersey community.
