Why sealcoat? ( We service a 100 mile radius ) Sealcoating your asphalt does 3 things: Protects, Beautifies, and Saves. It PROTECTS your asphalt from rain, snow, salt and other elements that deteriorate your asphalt, giving it a longer lifetime. It BEAUTIFIES your home or business by giving the asphalt a nice dark black finish. Most importantly, it SAVES you money by extending the life of your asphalt, eliminating the need for expensive repaving.
What type of sealer does Sealcoat do I use? the finest, highest quality products on the market, all of which are approved by the Federal Aviation Administration for use on airport runways. Our special product contains Coal Tar sealer mixed with polymer modified latex additives to improve durability and we add 3-5 pounds/gallon of silica sand to provide a non-slip surface.
How often should I sealcoat my asphalt? The typical home or business-owner should sealcoat their surfaces every two years. All asphalt surfaces are different and need to be assessed individually. Harsh winters with a lot of snow, ice, and salt, can deteriorate a surface and cause it to require more frequent sealcoating. If you have not sealcoated in more than seven years, you may need to sealcoat annually for a few years. If it is a surface being sealcoated for the first time, it will absorb more sealer and you will need to sealcoat again the following year.
Will a sealcoat make my asphalt look perfectly new again?
Sealcoating is important to maintain your asphalt and give it a fresh look, but it is not a miracle cure. Sealcoating will protect your asphalt and improve its image, but it will not completely re-level the surface. We provide crack-filling services for cracks 1/4" or greater, but shallow cracks will be coated by the sealer. If we observe that the asphalt is in very poor condition and sealcoating will not be beneficial, we will be honest and suggest a reputable paving contractor for you
