Hi there, my name is Keyvan Safinya and I teach piano in the Santa Barbara area. I grew up playing classical piano but also enjoy pop and rock, if you would like to learn some of your favorites. Some of my students enjoy playing anime and videogame music as well, which I always enjoy teaching.
I played classical piano as a teen, taking lessons from age 11 until 17 (7 years), and then as an adult from age 28 until present (8 years). Currently I play at retirement homes on a consistent basis, and enjoy performing my music at open mics around Santa Barbara. For fun I sometimes lug my full, weighted keyboard downtown and play on State Street.
