I apologize if the following seems a bit overboard, but there are a few individuals who use deceptive tactics to mislead customers into hiring them. I also am glad to see legitimately licensed plumbers posting ads and do not mean to imply that they are unlicensed as plumbers. Below is a copy of State Law taken from the Plumbing Board website, it defines who is unlawful to offer or to do plumbing (either one or both). Offer to engage means useless the individual who places the ad is licensed as a plumber it is illegal for them to do the simple act of placing an ad. State law also requires that a Master Plumbing license must be presented upon demand, no license in possession may mean unlicensed. Some handymen attempt to qualify legal status for plumbing stating "Licensed and Insured" using their Municipal/County Handyman license as justification, they are not legal in such case.
